Senior Analyst Third Party Audit Liaison
The Senior Analyst Third Party Audit Liaison serves as an integral member of the Non-Merchandise Audit function, supporting independent assurance and advisory activities through the effective management of third-party audit engagements. This role is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of audits performed by external firms, with a focus on operational, financial, and compliance risk. The role requires strong project management skills, sound audit judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly with business partners, senior leadership, Legal, and external audit firms. The role partners closely with audit leadership to escalate material risks, scope changes, and stakeholder issues requiring management alignment. This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. Third-party Audit Management
- Lead the end-to-end coordination of audits conducted by external firms from planning through final reporting.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party auditors, ensuring clear expectations, timelines, and deliverables.
Stakeholder Liaison & Communication
- Act as a trusted liaison between auditors and internal stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and senior leadership.
- Facilitate effective communication to resolve questions, remove barriers, and keep audits on track.
Audit Execution Oversight
- Manage audit timelines, milestones, and dependencies to ensure timely and efficient completion.
- Coordinate document requests, interviews, and walkthroughs with internal teams.
Issue Management & Risk Reduction
- Translate audit findings into actionable insights and process improvement opportunities.
- Partner with business teams to support root cause analysis and sustainable remediation.
Basic Qualifications
- 1.5+ years of experience in audit, risk management, compliance, or related function.
- Experience managing or coordinating audits performed by external firms.
- Strong understanding of operational, financial, and compliance risk concepts.
- Proven project management and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Experience in a large, complex organization.
- Familiarity with third-party audit models and professional services engagements.
- Experience using AI and automation tools, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, to improve efficiency and business outcomes.
