Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs to engage experienced HR and staffing professionals to improve AI systems' understanding of talent management, employment law, organizational development, and workforce operations. Contributors will apply their expertise in areas such as recruiting, compensation & benefits, employee relations, HRIS administration, and workforce planning to evaluate and enhance AI performance on HR-specific tasks. This is a project-based opportunity with potential for ongoing engagement depending on performance and project needs. Key Responsibilities - Review and evaluate AI-generated outputs related to job descriptions, compensation benchmarking, employee policy interpretation, and HR compliance guidance - Create realistic scenarios based on HR workflows — requisition-to-hire processes, performance management cycles, benefits enrollment, employee investigations, and RIF / restructuring planning - Annotate, label, and validate data across HR use cases (e.g., offer letter generation, leave administration, workforce analytics, DEI program design) - Provide structured feedback on AI accuracy in areas such as employment law (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, WARN Act), HRIS systems, and HR best practices - Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to refine evaluation frameworks for HR-domain AI Ideal Qualifications - 3+ years of professional experience in an HR or staffing function at a mid-to-large enterprise, staffing agency, or HR consulting firm - Background in one or more areas such as : - Talent acquisition and recruiting (corporate or agency) - Compensation, benefits, and total rewards - Employee relations and workplace investigations - Learning & development or organizational development - HR operations, HRIS administration (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP) - Staffing and contingent workforce management - PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification a plus - Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate HR workflows into structured evaluation tasks - Clear written communication and attention to detail Compensation Note This project is expected to begin on an effective hourly rate, but will transition to a model where experts are compensated based on throughput of quality work rather than a flat accruing hourly rate.
