Medical Scribe
The position is an on-site opportunity at 330 Old Newport Blvd. Newport Beach CA 92663. The role is a contract to hire opportunity with a target start date of ASAP. Work hours are 8 hours from Monday to Friday. The manager for this position is Ellen Youngs, and the timecard approver is also Ellen Youngs. The dress code is business casual or scrubs, and there is no parking or cost for the employee.
Top three required skills for this position are knowledge of medical terminology, good communication skills, and excellent work ethic. The daily responsibilities include scribing for physicians in a busy Oncology Hematology Clinic. The minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or GED. The candidate must be able to type at least 50 words per minute with a high degree of accuracy and have knowledge of medical terminology.
Onboarding requirements include completing all onboarding requirements prior to the start date, with no exceptions. Background checks are required, including social security trace, county criminal, federal criminal, national criminal search, national sex offender registry, state healthcare sanctions, and OIG/SAM. Education verification is also required, along with a list of three previous employers, with at least two to be verified. Other required documents include HIPAA training acknowledgment, application form, temporary worker agreement, and harassment & discrimination pamphlet.
Medical and immunization requirements include documentation or vaccine records for MMR, varicella, and hepatitis B. A tuberculosis test must be completed yearly, and a drug screening is required. An influenza vaccine is required for the current season, and COVID-19 vaccination is not required but strongly recommended.
