Job description

Our Company

At Teradata, we believe that people thrive when empowered with better information. That’s why we built the most complete cloud analytics and data platform for AI. By delivering harmonized data, trusted AI, and faster innovation, we uplift and empower our customers—and our customers’ customers—to make better, more confident decisions. The world’s top companies across every major industry trust Teradata to improve business performance, enrich customer experiences, and fully integrate data across the enterprise.

What You’ll Do

  • The Senior Staff Product Manager for Agentic User Experience owns how users engage, activate, and create value through AI-powered and agent-driven experiences across the platform. This role is accountable for designing and delivering rich, adaptive, and outcome-focused interactions that evolve based on user intent, role, and context.

  • This includes ownership of user experience strategy for agentic administration and the interaction layer of our AI Assistant, Terry. The role defines what, why and how administrative jobs to be done go agentic, and when they don’t.

  • This PM owns the roadmap for this book of work and leads cross-functional prioritization across design, content strategy, and engineering to deliver cohesive, scalable agentic administrative experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Agentic Product Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end user experience for agent-powered capabilities specific to administrative capabilities.

  • Establish how energy, momentum, and clarity are maintained across AI interactions - from first use through advanced workflows.

  • Ensure agentic experiences accelerate outcomes rather than interrupt or slow user progress.

  • Establish when agentic administration ends and user experience across all modalities begins (GUI, CLI, API, IDE, etc.

Agentic Experience Leadership

  • Act as the product owner for agent interaction models, workflows, and trust boundaries.

  • Partner closely with designers and content strategists to define:

  • Agent behaviors, tone, and feedback patterns

  • Clear mental models for how agents work individually and together

  • Transparent affordances for control, override, and escalation

  • Translate user intent, role, and context into cohesive agent workflows and experience requirements.

  • Ensure agentic experiences integrate naturally with existing UI and workflows.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead collaboration across design, content, engineering, and core platform teams.

  • Drive prioritization and sequencing of work to balance experience quality, technical feasibility, and speed of delivery.

  • Operate effectively within a matrixed organization, influencing outcomes through clarity and alignment.

Execution & Delivery

  • Write clear, outcome-focused requirements for agent-driven and AI-assisted experiences.

  • Work closely with engineering to align user experience with agent capabilities, performance constraints, and system behaviors.

  • Ensure Agentic features ship with appropriate safeguards, user controls, and feedback mechanisms.

  • Maintain high standards for usability, clarity, and user trust as AI capabilities evolve.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track success metrics related to:

  • Agent adoption and reuse

  • Time-to-outcome and task completion

  • User confidence and trust in AI-driven workflows

  • Use data and qualitative feedback to refine agent experiences and remove friction.

  • Identify opportunities to increase engagement and effectiveness through better orchestration and guidance.

Who You’ll Work With

  • Lead collaboration across design, content, engineering, and core platform teams.

  • Partner with other product leaders to ensure agent experiences remain consistent and composable across products.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • 5–8+ years of product management experience, with ownership of AI-powered or experience led platform capabilities.

  • Direct experience shipping agentic, conversational, or assistive AI experiences.

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles applied to AI systems.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across design, content, and engineering.

  • Experience working in complex, multi-product or platform environments.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience with agent orchestration frameworks, data platforms, or extensible ecosystems.

  • Background in enterprise or developer-facing platforms.

  • Familiarity with AI trust, explainability, and human-in-the-loop design patterns.

  • Experience collaborating with UX research on AI usability and trust testing.

Why We Think You'll Love Teradata

We prioritize a people-first culture because we know our people are at the very heart of our success. We embrace a flexible work model because we trust our people to make decisions about how, when, and where they work. We focus on well-being because we care about our people and their ability to thrive both personally and professionally.
