Overview
Serve as a patient care leader using the nursing process, ANA Code, and Nurse Practice Act. Delegate/direct teams, ensure quality outcomes, respect cultural diversity, and align with unit/department goals. Demonstrate accountability and support nursing philosophy.
Qualifications
Education: RN diploma (Associate/Bachelor's in Nursing preferred).
Experience: 2 years.
Certifications: Current LA RN license; AHA BLS.
KSAs: Computer/web proficiency; strong communication/interpersonal skills; organizational judgment; self-directed.
Key Responsibilities
Apply nursing process for patient care delivery.
Assess/implement education for patients, families, and teams.
Lead/delegate interdisciplinary resources for optimal results.
Use data to drive change and improve satisfaction/morale.
Adapt to patient populations (privacy, communication, permissions).
Comply with laws, accreditation, and reporting standards.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Physical/Environmental Demands
Heavy work (50-100 lbs occasionally; 25-50 lbs frequently). Routine blood/body fluid/tissue exposure; communicable disease/hazardous waste risk in patient care areas.
