Reporting to the Branch Director, the Director of Nursing provides clinical leadership and oversight for all hospice clinical services. This leader ensures quality, patient centric care aligns with hospice philosophy, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.
The Successful Candidate
The Director of Nursing is consummate professional, with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to lead hospice clinical services, ensure compliance, and participate as a leader and key contributor to the continuous quality improvement of the branch. These required competencies include, but are not limited to, the following:

The Position
Reporting to the Branch Director, the Director of Nursing provides clinical leadership and oversight for all hospice clinical services. This leader ensures quality, patient centric care aligns with hospice philosophy, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.
The Successful Candidate
The Director of Nursing is consummate professional, with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to lead hospice clinical services, ensure compliance, and participate as a leader and key contributor to the continuous quality improvement of the branch. These required competencies include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Texas
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, or a related field preferred, but not required
- CHPN certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospice services
- Prior nursing leadership experience, preferably concentrated in hospice services
- In-depth knowledge of hospice regulations and industry trends
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records systems (EHRs)
- Proficiency with MS Office and common web applications
- Ability to project a professional image
