Equipment Operator Job Duties include:
Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Safely and efficiently operate and maintain concrete handling (Rekers) equipment.
Quality Control: Inspect the quality of products according to established standards and adjust equipment settings as necessary to ensure compliance.
Troubleshooting & Reporting: Detect and report any equipment malfunctions, operational issues, or product quality concerns immediately to the Plant Supervisor.
Production Flow: Assist in maintaining an accurate production flow and reporting system.
Setup & Cleanup: Perform necessary machine clean-up, set-up, and functional adjustments associated with product changes.
Operational Execution: Execute Daily and Business fundamentals as required by the plant management team.
Cross-Training: Be willing and able to cross-train on other aspects of the production process.
Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by the Plant Manager, Supervisor, and Lead Machine Operator.
Equipment Operator Preferred Skills include:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Equipment Operator Requirements may include:
At least 2 years of experience operating similar industrial equipment.
High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Communication & Comprehension: Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety procedures, operating, and maintenance instructions.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to perform job tasks that include extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending, and climbing.
Ability to work both inside and outside, and perform tasks while using fall protection equipment.
Able to perform job tasks in challenging working conditions, including areas that are dusty, hot, and/or cold.
Safety Equipment: Must wear company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE) including earplugs, a hard hat, and protective glasses. Candidates must provide their own safety boots/shoes upon hire and will be eligible to participate in the Safety Boots/Shoe Reimbursement Program after 30 days of employment.
Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Must provide 3 professional references.
