Job Title: Foundry Production WorkerLocation: Montrose, MNShift & Schedule: 8-hour Day shift: Monday - Friday ~Flexible Schedule~Position Summary:At the direction of the department lead, perform the tasks needed to complete the production and finishing of castings. This includes melting metal, pouring molds, knock-out, heat treating, shot blasting, grinding, and packaging of parts/castings.Essential Functions:This position is crucial in the iron melting process.Remove castings from molds using appropriate tools and machineryPerform finishing operations such as grinding, sanding and polishing to meet product specificationsEngage in manual tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying and moving materialsOperate tools or machinery involved in casting products including furnaces, molds and ladles.Understand and proactively address quality issues as they ariseAssisting with other duties as assignedPreferred Experience:Previous experience with iron pouring.Previous foundry & metal casting experience.Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.Be detailed oriented, organized, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.Able to work independentlyFunctional RequirementsRoutinely able to:Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reach forward, reach overhead, lift, carry, crouch, and bendPower grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering fork truckWalk, sit, or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaksPush/pull up to 100 lbs.See, inspect, handle and evaluate product qualityRead and understand written English language work instructionsWork in non-climate controlled environments, including hot and humid conditionsClimb ladders and stairs of varying heightsWear task-based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Hearing ProtectionProtective EyewearGlovesAdditional PPE may as required by specific tasksIndustry Leading Benefits:Generous medical/dental insurance planFlexible PTO/UTO policy401k with company matchCompany-paid Short-term disabilityEmployee assistance planCareer advancementFormal leadership developmentEducation reimbursement programRecognition and awardsEmployee events (fishing contests, Christmas turkeys, potlucks, appreciation meals, and more)This job posting does cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required.
