6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is a 513-bed skilled nursing facility in Syracuse, New York, dedicated to providing quality care and services to our residents. We strive to create a warm, homelike environment while meeting the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of those we serve.
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dietary Aide to join our team. The Dietary Aide plays an important role in supporting meal service and ensuring our residents receive meals in a timely, safe, and pleasant manner.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, being part of a team, and making a positive difference in the lives of our residents.
Assist with preparing and serving meals to residents
Set up and work on the meal tray line
Deliver food carts and meal trays throughout the facility
Operate the dishwasher and assist in the dish room
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
Assist with trash removal and recycling
Sweep and mop kitchen and dining areas
Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
Work as part of a team to provide excellent service to our residents
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well with coworkers, residents, and visitors
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds
Hourly rate of $16.00–$16.25
Regular full-time schedule
Alternating weekends and holidays
