Health Service Technician
River Edge is actively seeking a full-time Health Service Technician to join our Adult Crisis unit. In this role, you will be responsible for attending to clients' needs by listening to their concerns, observing their behavior, and ensuring their comfort and safety. Additionally, you will assist clients in engaging in social and recreational activities, maintain a secure environment conducive to treatment, provide basic patient care, and support clients in developing daily living skills.
Schedule: The schedule entails three (3) 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 36 hours per week, with work required every other weekend.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring vital signs and promptly communicating findings to nursing staff.
- Assisting with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, shaving, and dressing as necessary.
- Preparing clients for medical treatments or examinations as directed.
- Facilitating recreational and social activities for clients.
- Observing and accurately documenting patient data, behavior, and activities.
- Always ensuring the safety and security of clients.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one (1) year working with behavioral health clients (mental health, substance abuse, developmental disabilities). PREFERRED
