In this school-based role, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 or small group support to students in the classroom
- Assisting with academic, behavioral, and social needs as guided by teachers and staff
- Helping students navigate daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
- Implementing behavior support plans and IEPs when required
- Assisting with mobility and personal care, ensuring supervision and safety at all times
- Promoting a respectful, inclusive environment for all learners
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following school compliance requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 18
- Completion of a TB test (per district policy)
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift as needed for student assistance
- Up-to-date clearances, or willingness to obtain them before starting
Preferred backgrounds include experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care, and supporting students with autism or behavioral challenges. Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is an advantage, though not required. Above all, candidates should bring patience, reliability, and a collaborative spirit.
