Beacon Hill is looking for a full-time talented Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team!

The Life Enrichment Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring residents receive the highest quality of services and experiences. This position is committed to treating employees, residents, families, visitors, and volunteers with compassion, dignity, and respect, while fostering positive relationships through effective communication and attentive listening.

Shift: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, 9am - 5pm, 9am - 5:30pm and 10am-6:30pm.

Job Type: Full-time with required weekend and holiday rotation

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with elderly individuals, individuals with dementia or individuals with special needs.
• Previous hospitality industry experience is a plus
• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation preferred

Responsibilities

• Support the Life Enrichment team in achieving departmental goals by assisting with the delivery of engaging group and individual activity programs across Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care neighborhoods.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Manager in planning, implementing, and adapting a variety of programs, including physical, spiritual, cognitive, social, leisure, and community-based activities that meet the diverse needs and abilities of residents.
• Review, follow, and assist in carrying out the established activities calendar while remaining flexible to resident interests, cognitive levels, and functional abilities.
• Lead and facilitate meaningful social and recreational activities that promote engagement, independence, dignity, and quality of life for all residents.
• Safely escort and transport residents to and from activity programs, following all safety guidelines and providing appropriate support based on individual needs.
• Build and maintain professional, respectful, and compassionate relationships with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers, and volunteers.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of resident participation in group and individual activities in accordance with community and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with supervisors regarding resident engagement, preferences, behaviors, and any concerns impacting quality of life.
• Comply with all department policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulations applicable to Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services.
