Direct Loan Processor
Pay: $21.50/hour
Location: East - Sacramento, CA
Position Summary
The Direct Loan Processor Specialist I is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality service to members and internal partners throughout the consumer loan lifecycle-from application intake through funding. This role operates in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, managing multiple loan applications while handling inbound and outbound loan-related calls.
Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound loan-related calls while processing loan applications concurrently
- Review, research, and analyze borrower documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Conduct member interviews, perform income analysis, and gather required information to satisfy loan conditions
- Prepare and audit loan documents to ensure compliance, consistency, and accuracy
- Obtain and verify required DMV documentation to properly record liens on loan collateral
- Identify and mitigate potential fraud, identity theft, and suspicious activity
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to complete key steps in the loan application and fulfillment process
- Monitor and respond to email and internal chat communications promptly and professionally
- Provide escalation support for Branch and member service teams, including complex loan issues
- Participate in virtual meetings and operate effectively in a remote or hybrid work environment
- Deliver exceptional customer service through clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong ability to multitask accurately in a high-call, high-production environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional tone and grammar
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to remain calm and solutions-focused under pressure
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Empathetic, customer-focused approach to building rapport and trust
- Working knowledge of loan products such as auto loans and personal loans preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a fast-paced call center or loan processing environment with high volume and productivity standards
