Job Purpose:
The Welder is responsible for accurately setting up and operating welding equipment to weld and assemble trailers, hoists, and fabricated parts according to production card specifications. This role may also include operating a robotic welder.
The Welder contributes to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives by following established processes, supporting efficient production flow, and communicating improvement ideas with supervisors and plant leadership.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain prompt and reliable attendance to ensure customer production needs are met
- Perform basic math calculations required for measuring, assembling, and troubleshooting
- Set up and adjust welding equipment as needed
- Read and interpret complex instructions, blueprints, and measuring devices
- Work collaboratively with coworkers and other departments to support company goals and initiatives
- Learn and operate multiple machines or jigs within the assigned job area
- Rotate between tasks or stations as required to support production schedules, team needs, or safety recommendations
- Maintain a steady and efficient work pace while meeting quality and production standards
- Work overtime when required to meet customer demand
- Follow all safety procedures, including wearing required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), submitting maintenance requests, and reporting hazards to coworkers and management
Essential Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Minimum 2 years of continuous welding experience, preferably with aluminum or steel in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to use various measuring tools
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to communicate in English
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending and turning at the waist
- Exposure to outdoor weather temperatures

Required Work Hours and Schedules:
- Must be able to work between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Occasional Saturdays as required to meet Production needs
