The Department of Biology in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, academic professional track (non-tenure) position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning August 1, 2026. Applicants will be considered for the title of Instructional Assistant Professor. This position is teaching-intensive (70%) and includes expectations for service (30%). It is a renewable position with opportunities to advance along the instructional track, progressing from Instructional Assistant Professor to Instructional Associate Professor to Instructional Professor.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in biology or a related field. To support the Department of Biology’s undergraduate teaching mission, preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching biology at the undergraduate level. Experience teaching lower and upper-level courses using student-centered approaches that promote student success is desirable.
