We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support business license processing for a Contract position based in Columbia, South Carolina. This role focuses on preparing accurate application materials, confirming jurisdiction-specific requirements, and maintaining timely communication with license recipients. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, administrative experience, and the ability to manage documentation with a high degree of accuracy.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and finalize South Carolina business license applications, ensuring all required details and supporting documents are complete and accurate before submission.
• Investigate city and county licensing rules, fee schedules, and filing expectations to help maintain compliance with local requirements.
• Communicate with business license recipients by phone and email to confirm receipt of application materials and request copies of issued licenses when needed.
• Track application status, document follow-up activity, and maintain organized records to support efficient processing and reporting.
• Enter and update licensing information in internal systems with careful attention to accuracy and completeness.
• Provide general administrative support such as managing correspondence, handling inbound calls, and assisting with office coordination as needed.• Experience in administrative support, office coordination, or a similar business support role.
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow established procedures, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable handling inbound calls and communicating professionally with external contacts.
• Proficiency in standard office software and electronic recordkeeping systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to research and interpret local requirements and apply findings accurately to administrative processes.
