Key Responsibilities of the CT Technologist
  • Perform high-quality CT scans according to physician orders and department protocols
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
  • Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment following safety and radiation standards
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure accurate imaging and optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain detailed patient records and imaging documentation within hospital information systems
  • Monitor patients during scans and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions
  • Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and hospital policy standards
Requirements of the CT Technologist
  • Active ARRT (CT) certification and Georgia state license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Current BLS and CPR certifications required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent CT imaging experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of CT protocols, anatomy, and cross-sectional imaging
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
