Position Summary
The Unit Manager (LPN or RN) oversees daily nursing operations on the assigned unit. This role is ideal for a clinically skilled, organized, and empathetic nurse who enjoys leadership, problem-solving, and ensuring compliance with all nursing standards and state/federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff on the unit.
Oversee resident care planning, assessments, and documentation.
Ensure adherence to nursing best practices, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
Monitor staff performance and assist with coaching, competency checks, and evaluations.
Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
Manage workflow, assignments, and daily coordination of resident care.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure high-quality service and satisfaction.
Assist with staff scheduling and coverage as needed.
Participate in audits, quality assurance activities, and care meetings.
Qualifications:
Active Indiana LPN license required, RN preferred.
Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care strongly preferred.
Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities.
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

Salary/ Wage Range
Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown.
