Quality Staffing, Inc., also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search, a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the area's top companies, is looking for experienced Transportation Technicians / Traffic Management Coordinators to work through our agency as a contract employee with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TN DOT) located in Nashville, TN. This is an on-site 2nd shift position working Tuesday through Friday from 1 : 00 pm to 10 : 30 pm. The pay rate for this position is $21.50 per hour.
Traffic Management Coordinator Job Description : An advanced technician position working indoors and on-site in a control room environment to monitor roadways and to ensure the safe and efficient movement of traffic. The technician will be tasked with managing scheduled and unscheduled traffic incidents and dispatching responders accordingly by utilizing Intelligent Transportation Systems devices. Traffic Management Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities will include : -Performing functions with minimal supervision and following established procedures.-Identifying the more complex issues and deferring those to a supervisor.-Operating various computer-based traffic management systems to manage traffic and incidents on roadways and improving traffic conditions.-Monitoring roadways via traffic surveillance cameras and detection systems.-Monitoring all traffic devices and computer equipment associated with the system.-Maintaining advanced knowledge on the operation of all traffic equipment, computers and software associated with the traffic systems.-Becoming familiar with the roadways and understanding the purpose and location of traffic devices.-Communicating with multiple agencies to coordinate resources for incidents which may affect regional travel.-Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications Needed for Traffic Management Coordinator position : -Proficient in Operating Computers, specifically in Utilizing Microsoft Office, Access, Outlook & Word.-Customer Services Experience Highly Preferred-Proficient in Internet Navigation & Research-Experience Contributing Within a Team Environment-Dispatch or Call Center Experience Highly Preferred-Excellent Communication Skills- oral, in writing, reports & clear communication over radio.-MUST be local to Nashville, TN Benefits Include : -Weekly Pay / Comparable Wages-Major Medical Insurance-Indemnity Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance-Term Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability
