CORA Services Clinical Division is currently seeking a Behavior Consultant to join their team full-time.

Hourly Pay Rate (based on licensure):

  • $35.55+ — Unlicensed

  • $37.33+ — Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS)

  • $39.11+ — LMFT, LPC, or LCSW

  • $40.89+ — LBS + LMFT/LPC/LCSW

Rates increase with additional credentials and experience

In addition, as a Behavioral Consultant at CORA, your duties will include:

  • Facilitate team meetings with the identified child's teachers and parents for the purpose of continuity of care.
  • Promote highly specialized positive behavior interventions in which "at risk" children thrive.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team (Behavioral Health Technician and Mobile Therapist) to design Behavior Interventions Plans; address classroom organization, effective instruction, social skills instruction, and ethical issues; School-wide Positive Behavioral Support; and factors that affect effectiveness including social validity and treatment integrity.
  • Work with individual teachers, groups of teachers and/or the entire staff on issues such as: crisis intervention, learning and collaboration issues, and factors that can affect development and implementation of interventions.
  • Provide clinical supervision for the assigned Behavioral Health Technicians, providing guidance and support in delivery of services.
  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments to identify target behaviors and use ongoing assessments to maintain a record of child's progress.
  • Provide treatment in various settings including the community and home setting based on medical necessity.
  • Develop a repertoire of assessment strategies consistent with behavioral and emotional needs, teaching methods, and individual child needs to more accurately assess child's behavior skills and understandings.
  • Collaborate with child teachers, parents/caregivers to enhance treatment in various settings to ensure skill transfer.
  • Utilize strengths-based models to recognize and promote positive behavioral progress with children and families.
  • Work cooperatively with building administrators to promote positive child behavior by providing professional development that targets research, strategies and modeling of instructional practices to support teachers in their implementation of positive behavior support in their classrooms.

Qualified Behavior Consultants should possess:

  • Master's Degree in Mental Health Discipline
  • LBS designation preferred
  • Professional Licensure preferred, but not required (BCBA, LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist)
