Operational Accountant

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Operational Accountant (SAP Ariba & Peoplesoft)

Position type: Contract (12 months w/ extension)
Location: Charlotte, NC/Des Moines, IA
Hybrid (3 days onsite/ 2 days remote)

As an Operational Accountant (SAP Ariba & Peoplesoft) you will:

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Manage unique supplier setup and maintenance requests tied to projects (Early Pay Discount, Virtual Card) and resolve Ariba–PeopleSoft migration discrepancies.
• Monitor Ariba Buying & Invoicing mismatch reports, research root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Triage and resolve escalations from internal teams and external suppliers; troubleshoot complex process and system issues.
• Execute monthly UAT, submit test scripts, report system defects, and support requirements for system or process enhancements.
• Lead system clean-up and supplier onboarding activities, coordinating with Sourcing, Contracts, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and supplier contacts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Practical knowledge of Ariba and PeopleSoft supplier modules and end-to-end supplier onboarding processes.
• Ability to investigate and resolve data mismatches, document defects, and perform UAT and test-script creation.
• Experience documenting procedures, designing training materials, and driving system clean-up projects (e.g., inactivating locations, adding addresses).
• Effective communication and stakeholder management across SCM, Sourcing, Contracts, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and supplier contacts.
• Proficiency with Excel for data review and tracking; familiarity with procurement concepts such as Virtual Card, Early Pay Discount, and supplier enablement workflows.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: Between $25 - $31 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
