Pinchin is seeking a
Project Technician to join our
EDR team and support our
HAZ team in
Knoxville, TN. The role reports to the
Team Leader.
EDR and HAZ Overview In this position, you will learn about the business and work closely with senior professionals in the industry. Every day will enhance your knowledge, skills, and passion for what you do. Your work with the EDR team will help clients assess conditions at properties to determine if contamination may be present. This includes gathering historical data, performing site inspections and interpreting data into a well-organized report. Your work with the HAZ team will include assessing buildings for hazards that can impact human health and/or the environment. This is accomplished with various assessments including asbestos, lead-based paint, and indoor air quality.
Your Role and Action as a Project Technician- Conduct various field tasks, including asbestos-containing material (ACM) inspections and sampling, as well as lead and hazardous materials inspections and surveys.
- Coordinate and complete site inspections and produce organized, detailed site visit notes to be incorporated into high-quality technical reports.
- Demonstrate excellent writing, editing, technical, and organizational skills.
- Facilitate task management and coordination, client interaction, and data management.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a team environment.
- Maintain a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring to Pinchin The right candidate brings a mix of technical ability, curiosity, accountability, and a genuine interest in creating better outcomes for clients, communities, and the environment. You value collaboration, learning, and respectful teamwork.
- Bachelor’s degree in the environmental field preferred.
- 0-3 years of consulting experience or relevant field experience.
- Ability to effectively plan and execute projects, prioritize work, and communicate scope changes in a timely manner.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to read technical specifications, drawings, and reports.
- Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle and ability to drive to job sites throughout geographic region. Work-related travel is compensated.
- Ability to work in various settings and climates.
- Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, and the ability to pass a company physical.
- Ability to adhere to a Medical Surveillance Program to be able to wear respiratory protection.
