Responsibilities
- Leads the communication, implementation, and ongoing management of HRPD programs, policies, and practices for assigned client groups, ensuring district compliance with corporate policy and applicable legislation.
- Develops, executes, monitors, and evaluates district HRPD strategies and KPIs aligned with district and company priorities, while providing guidance and coaching to employees and managers and leading stakeholder communications and participation in sector HRPD strategic planning.
- Responsible for the recruitment and onboarding programs needed. Leads recruitment process for senior-level positions . Utilizes appropriate recruitment sourcing strategies and builds strategic industry contacts to build a candidate pipeline.
- Provides guidance, coaching, and training on all aspects of career management.
- Guides and coaches supervisors through progressive discipline process for entry to mid-level positions, including the development and delivery of performance improvement plans and/or progressive disciplinary strategies on employee relations issues up to and including termination.
- Leads investigations, including communication/implementation of outcomes/decisions. Assists manager on complex investigations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred.
- Completion of HR designation preferred.
- 7 years of progressive human resources experience preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of HRPD-related principles, practices, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Able to tactfully and diplomatically deal with people and act with discretion when handling confidential information.
- Strong business acumen, with an understanding of industry practices and new developments.
- Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization.
- Seen as a trusted advisor with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Demonstrated experience executing employment investigations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and to present ideas and content that influence a favorable outcome.
- Strong organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in training and facilitation and in managing complex facilitated sessions.
- Results-oriented, with strong project management experience. Able to act as a change agent by applying change management methodologies.
- Able to coach managers through employee relations issues.
- Supervisory experience an asset.
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable systems.
The estimated salary range for this role is between $90,000 and $115,000, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
