About the Role

This opportunity provides immediate high impact and high visibility across all of our business area with a focus on contracts administration, data entry, JIRA, SharePoint, and SAP administration.

Sierra Space is seeking a Contracts Specialist II with experience in full life cycle contract administration, specifically with contractual data entry into SAP and contract close-out. This position will be in support of the Contracts Administrators and Managers across all business areas. The successful candidate must demonstrate a familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and Agency specific clauses as well as a strong familiarity of all government contract types. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated ability to work with in a fast paced and dynamic environment often with competing priorities.

This role will require meticulous attention to detail and discipline to ensure accurate and timely entry of contracts data into SAP, routing for approval through JIRA, contract closeout, and support of invoicing. The ability to work cooperatively with a multitude of organizations ranging from technical, program, finance, supply chain, export control, and security, and possess a keen eye for specifics are critical for this role. This role will be responsible for the entry of all contractual data into Sierra Space’s SAP system, approval routing through JIRA, filing and administration of all contractual documents (e.g. Other Transaction Agreements, Commercial Non-Gov, etc.), NDAs, teaming agreements, memos, and other agreements. The successful candidate must have thoroughness in the review and entry of data and the ability to support quick turn data calls and requests for information and reports generated from SAP. The successful candidate will be crucial to building and enforcing detail discipline.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Possess and developaknowledgeableand working understanding of the US Government Acquisition and Procurement environment, commercial contracting methods (FAR Part 12 and non-Gov), and FAR/DFARS/Agency requirements

  • Ensure compliance with the Sierra Space Command Media and relevant company policies and procedures

  • Data entryinto SAP and JIRA to support daily contractual operations as well as compliance withCommand Media and Government data retention.

  • Lead responses to data calls by coordinating input from Contract Administrators and Managers as well as running and organizing reports from SAP and SharePoint.

  • Route for approval all NDAs, agreements, proposals, contract awards, contract modificationsand ensure all required documentation is filed appropriately.

  • Coordinate with other company functions to ensureappropriate reviewsare conducted and obtain required review and approval signatures prior tosubmittal ofproposals or execution of contractual documents

  • Perform all aspects of assigned contract administration including, but not limited to, accuracy of order entry data, contract funding, scope changes, contract amendments, receipt and delivery schedules, legal requirementcomplianceand fulfillment of other commitments

  • Compile andmaintainall required contractual records and documentsin accordance withcontract requirements and Company policies and procedures

  • SupportContract Administrators and Managers,Program Managers, IPT Leads, and Business Area leads and provide contractssupportto company management at all levels, asrequired

  • Review andenter all contractual data into SAP ensuring coordination with finance to mitigate any downstreamerrors and issues.

  • File and catalog all contractual correspondence, documentation, and internal memos. To include consistent andaccuratelabeling of all documentation and file folders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).

  • Typically 2+ years of related experience.

  • Developing knowledge in contract management, negotiation, and contract administration.

  • Knowledge of contract law, legal principles, and contract administration best practices.

  • General knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.

  • General application of concepts and principles.

Preferredqualifications:

  • Experience with Government Contracts, specifically the DoD and IC,including but not limited to Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, and Other Transactional Agreements

  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of dutiesset forth injob description above

  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Exhibit sound interpersonal skills when interfacing, coordinating, andadvisingSierra Space internal stakeholders

  • Utilize computer skills to prepareappropriate reportsand documents, must be skilled withSAP, JIRA, andMicrosoft Office suite of applications

  • ProficientSharePoint and file sharing/management software

  • Make decisions using sound judgment whilecomplying withpolicies, procedures,appropriate principlesand applicable state and federal laws and regulations

  • Reliability andhighattention to detail

Compensation:

Pay Range:

$73,852.00 - $101,545.75

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
