Job description
The Family Support Assistant assists in the management of a busy household with three (3) school-aged children, ages thirteen (13), twelve (12), and ten (10). This role combines hands-on childcare, general household support and light personal assistance to ensure the home runs smoothly. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive and comfortable working in a dynamic family environment. Flexibility, strong communication skills and a caring nature are essential for success in this role.

Salary: $20 - $25 an hour

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

Minimum Qualifications
• Proficiency in spoken and written English required
• Strong interpersonal skills with both children and teenagers
• Capable of providing dependable and safe transportation for children
• Reliable transportation and ability to be insured
• Ability to multitask and maintain organization
• Valid Texas Driver License with acceptable MVR and background check

Typical Duties
• Provides safe, reliable transportation for children to and from school, extracurricular activities, sports practices, and appointments.
• Encourages and motivates children to complete homework and school projects in a timely and organized manner.
• Fosters a supportive, positive presence for pre-teens and teenagers.
• Manages grocery shopping needs, including maintaining and updating shopping lists, placing online orders, and making in-store purchases as needed.
• Assists with meal preparation to support regular family dinners.
• Performs light cleaning and laundry tasks to help maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready home environment.
• Assists with various household projects and demonstrates initiative by identifying and recommending areas that require attention or improvement.
• Assists with the care of two dogs, including providing occasional walks.
• Performs errands as required.
• Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
