The role We are hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support energy, utility, data center and industrial projects across New York and the Northeast. Typical assignments include project management support for energy and utility-based projects, including system and infrastructure upgrades, process system upgrades, and construction of new or renovated facilities. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, health, safety, environmental and client communications from concept through project close-out. In this role you will coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams, subconsultants, and subcontractors, serving as the primary client interface. Key responsibilities Support delivery of energy, utility, industrial and data center-based projects Initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/control, close-out Build and manage integrated schedules, budgets, resource plans, and cash flow Track earned value and KPIs Maintain scope and change control Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering/design teams, permitting, and construction-phase services Support contract strategy and administration (e.g., Owner's Agent, EPC/EPCM, CM-at-Risk) Manage third parties and subconsultants Oversee procurement support and invoicing/receivables Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental. Quality (HSEQ) and client governance Champion a proactive safety culture (OSHA awareness) Prepare high-quality client deliverables, progress reports, dashboards, and executive briefings Facilitate stakeholder engagement Contribute to proposals, scopes, fees, and schedules Qualifications Desired Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Construction/Project Management, or a minimum of 5-years of related experience Demonstrated success delivering energy, utility, or infrastructure projects in a consulting/engineering environment Strong project controls capability (schedule, cost, risk, change management) Scheduling knowledge utilizing MS Project or Primavera P6 Proficiency with Microsoft suite of programs including Excel, Word and Power Point Familiarity with BIM or digital collaboration tools (e.g. Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore) is a plus Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability Certifications (Desirable) OSHA 30-Hour (Construction) First Aid/CPR Success metrics On-time, on-budget project delivery with strong performance Effective risk management and discipline change control High client satisfaction and repeat business Strong HSEQ outcomes Team engagement and mentoring of early careers staff Additional Information Work arrangement: Hybrid (Syracuse office + regional travel) Ability to travel to project sites/clients across New York and the Northeast (up to ~20-30%); valid driver's license Authorization to work in the United States Requires on-site work in mechanical rooms and active construction environments Language: English (additional languages a plus) Background checks/security clearances What we can offer you Commitment to your professional development A culture that welcomes you as the unique person you are Inspiration from colleagues, clients, and projects The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company Competitive base salary Excellent health & retirement benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr
