Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $60, to $90, per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage routine accounting functions, including processing payments owed and payments received.
Support month-end activities by preparing entries, reviewing balances, and assisting with reconciliations.
Maintain organized financial records to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve discrepancies and improve workflows.
Assist leadership with various financial tasks and projects as operational needs arise.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
Prior experience handling basic accounting tasks such as billing, vendor payments, or account reconciliations.
Strong understanding of general accounting principles and standard financial procedures.
Proficiency with accounting software and common office applications.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines with accuracy.
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate financial information.
Effective communication skills when working with internal teams and external partners.
Ability to analyze financial data and identify issues that need attention.
High level of integrity when handling sensitive financial information.
Willingness to adapt, learn new processes, and support ongoing improvements.
