Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain positive, professional, safe, and reliable relationships with carriers and/or independently contracted (IC) drivers to ensure seamless new carrier set-up, minimize turnover, and maximize ongoing productivity
Optimize operations & maximize profitability through the understanding of key performance indicators
Create, maintain, and present customer-specific reporting and financial analysis
Manage inventory, assets, customer pools, and/or assignment of carriers and/or independent contracted drivers to balance equipment in the market
Perform administrative duties such as payroll, management of the Net-Revenue budget, filing and documenting, resolving settlement issues, analyzing P&L statements, invoicing, and/or creating operational or financial reports
Coordinate yard duties such as checking/inspecting equipment, and partnering with maintenance to ensure all regular preventative maintenance services are scheduled on time and all safety-related mechanical issues are fixed for account equipment (as required)
Act as liaison between carriers and/or independently contracted drivers, customers, and company personnel to resolve service issues, routing and/or planning, mechanical problems, accessorial pay-related issues, etc. as they occur throughout the day and, where necessary, when on call
Maintain the Company's safety culture by complying with external & internal regulations, policies, and procedures
Assign loads and plan, route, and monitor freight movement to provide safe, on-time service and meet customer requirements, including managing exceptions based on pick-up and delivery schedules, and other environmental factors on the road
Assist in training entry-level and other team members to ensure that they perform work duties in accordance with standards and protocols
Assist on special projects related to optimizing operations and maximizing profitability
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification:
High School Diploma/GED WITH 2-3 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, &/or equivalent military experience AND the ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
&/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:
Strong professional communication skills applied internally and externally
Proven experience in establishing and maintaining healthy working relationships
Experience in fostering strong customer relationships via delivery of commitments, open communication, and ongoing feedback/improvement
Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
Accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Experience in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
Ability to consistently travel to account & customer locations
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and shifting priorities and directives
Experience in holding people accountable & conducting difficult conversations
Ability to perform in a stressful and high-pressure work environment
&/OR
Preferred Qualification:
Bachelors in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field AND 1-2 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, &/or equivalent military experience
This shift is Tues - Sat 11AM-7PM

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
