Job description

$31.70-$33.00 per hour. 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday 2:

  • 00 to 6:00 PM, year-round.
  • Final placement within this range is based on confirmed job-related skills and relevant experience.

  • What We're Looking For… We are looking for an energetic, patient, and creative Afterschool Program Tutor to join our team.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for middle school students after the school day ends.
  • You will lead educational activities, assist with homework, and facilitate recreational play.

The ideal candidate is a mentor at heart who can maintain a structured environment while fostering a sense of community and curiosity:

  • A true "team player" who prioritizes student outcomes above all else.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of at least 48 college semester units or an Associate's Degree is desired.
  • Experience working with children in a group setting, e.g., after-school program leader/tutor, camp counselor, youth sports coach, instructional aide, student teacher.
  • Experience building authentic, respectful relationships with a diverse student body; values all cultural backgrounds.

  • Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a high degree of patience are non-negotiable.
