We are currently seeking a Human Capital Management Awards Program Assistant to support our customer in Washington, DC location.

Functional Description:

  • This position supports the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Deputy Commander, Total Force/Corporate Operations (SEA 10).
  • NAVSEA is the Department of Navy’s (DON’s) central activity for designing, engineering, integrating, building, and procuring U.S. Naval ships, shipboard weapons, and combat systems. NAVSEA's responsibilities also include the maintenance, repair, modernization, and conversion of in-service ships and their weapons and combat systems.
  • The candidate shall support the Enterprise-wide Awards Programs, which include awards both internal to NAVSEA and external to NAVSEA for NAVSEA employees.

Duties:

  • Support external awards completion by collaborating with sponsors to establish internal deadlines and clarify nominations requirements and drafting announcements for distribution.
  • Research new External Award opportunities in areas of interest to the NAVSEA community.
  • Process nominations for the DON Superior Civilian Service Award.
  • Process NAVSEA Excellence Awards.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the annual NAVSEA Excellence Awards Ceremony and reception.
  • Track and maintain ongoing inventory of award supplies, and alert Program Manager when restock is needed.
  • Ship awards to field activities as needed.
  • Conduct quality control inspections of awards materials received back from the Front Office and from external vendors.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in processing awards is preferred.
  • A team-oriented outlook with outstanding customer service experience.
  • Strong analytical skills along with discretion in performing specified work requirements.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively, to build and sustain working relationships with a vast team of diverse professionals.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications to include MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines, work independently and with sufficient knowledge, present projects to senior management.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment accepting emergent tasking with little to no supervision and/or direction.
  • Hybrid support. Must report onsite to Washington Navy Yard, as needed, to process awards packages.
  • Maintain consistent presence during standard office hours.
  • Follow instructions regarding any changes to duty hours or reporting requirements.

Must hold and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is NTE $65,750.00(annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
