Job Description The Programmer Analyst position will work as a contract resource for the State of Michigan - Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) in a staff augmentation capacity.
The resource will serve as a Tableau Administrator for the MDHHS Analytics and Visualization team. As a Tableau Administrator, you will be responsible with the creating and maintaining the framework that enables Tableau users in MDHHS to publish, share, manage, and connect to data sources and workbooks. The Tableau Administrator manages users and their access to projects, workbooks, and data sources. The Tableau Administrator will also provide help desk support and conduct user training.
Job Duties - This role requires a hands-on Tableau Administrator who is comfortable supporting users, managing access and security, and keeping the Tableau environment running smoothly
- Adding and removing staff licenses for Tableau test and production environments.
- Updating security permissions for staff in Tableau environments.
- Executing Tableau configuration scripts to add new business areas of MDHHS to the Tableau servers.
- Promoting Tableau workbooks from test to production.
- Monitoring and maintaining PHA Tableau MS Team site including user administration.
- Monitoring and maintaining Tableau SharePoint site.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including analysts, developers, and business users
Requirements 1+ years:
- Professional programmer/analyst experience using Python.
- Experience of Tableau Site Administration and Dashboard Development.
- Experience of MS Teams Administration.
- Experience working with SQL Queries.
- Experience as technical trainer in classroom setting.
- Experience with Power BI, including report development, and supporting business users
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including analysts, developers, and business users
Professional demeanor and reliability in a public-sector or enterprise environment
Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools, processes, or agency standards as needed
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities
Minimum Education Location - Local candidates preferred (within Michigan). Or, must be willing to re-locate to Michigan at employee's expense. This is a requirement provided by the client.
- Position is a hybrid schedule (Non-Negotiable): There is no remote-only option. Required onsite days- Wednesdays and Thursdays. Remote eligible days- Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. The resource must meet these requirements from the beginning
- Working hours Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Employment Terms - This is a W2 position
