Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in designing packaging and material handling equipment. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow in a rapidly expanding environment, with training provided to enhance your real-world skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop conveyor systems and machine designs.
- Work on packaging and material handling equipment projects.
- Create and manage shop and fabrication drawings.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Detail large systems using 2D drafting and 3D design tools.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Proficiency in Solidworks (ideal but not mandatory).
- Experience in 2D drafting and 3D design.
- Experience with detailing large systems.
- Experience with shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
- Proficiency in preparing BOMs.
Work Environment
The position is based in a brand new facility that is rapidly growing, with plans to expand further. Initially, work may be conducted out of a trailer until the new facility is completed. The role offers the potential for mobility across different business units and opportunities for advancement. While on contract, no vacation time is offered, only holidays. Upon permanent hire, there is an opportunity for five hours of overtime per week, with potential pay increases and discretionary profit sharing
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boulder, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
