The Logistics Analyst is responsible for monitoring the movement of goods in and out of the organization. This position is responsible for the verification and record-keeping of freight (outbound, inbound and drop-shipment), domestic and international freight, and customs compliance. The Logistics Analyst provides support and guidance to all US-based BCI associates at the Norfolk, Virginia headquarters as well as associates based in all Bauer locations. This position reports to the Planning and Logistics Manager.
Include the following, but other duties may be assigned:
BA/BS in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; OR three plus years of relevant experience or the equivalent of a combination of five years education (may include vocational institute certification of graduation) and experience which would provide the required knowledge and skills and allows successful performance of the job.
Minimum one-year experience in less-than-truckload (LTL) and truckload shipping.
Familiarity with domestic shipping lanes with ability to learn import and export compliance.
Working knowledge of concepts, practice and procedures in logics, supply chain, and/or warehouse operations.
Knowledge of current Federal, State and local rules and regulations regarding transportation and if possible, customs and compliance.
Driver's license with good driving record.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Must be detail oriented and able to multitask and prioritize demands.
Self-starter, ability to resolve issues and research solutions.
Ability to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated organizational and creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively, speak professionally, and learn process and procedures quickly.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management.
Ability to understand and respond to customer (internal and external) needs in a timely manner.
Knowledge of Export Compliance.
Experience with Made2Manage preferred.
Knowledge of manufacturing industry.

Normal working schedule: Monday through Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM EST, with a flexible work schedule available. Some evenings and weekend hours may be required at times.
