The American Heart Association is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Application Developer - RPA and Workday.
In this dynamic role, you will leverage your expertise to design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise automations across Workday and UiPath platforms. You'll collaborate closely with business stakeholders while maintaining crucial documentation and gathering requirements.

Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Workday integrations utilizing Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and RaaS.
- Support secure file transfers and data exchanges with external systems (such as ADP, iCIMS, ServiceNow).
- Develop UiPath workflows, including REFramework-based automations tailored for HR, Payroll, Finance, and Legal.
- Enhance existing UiPath bots, focusing on error handling, scheduling, and reporting.
- Engage with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders to gather both functional and technical requirements.
- Prepare and maintain functional & technical documentation, test plans, and support guides while assisting with UAT.
- Participate in Workday Releases and cloud migration efforts to ensure integration continuity and performance.
- Support RPA enhancements using AI/ML components where applicable, contributing to Agentic AI readiness initiatives.
- Utilize your foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts (e.g., document understanding, NLP, structured decisioning).
- Adhere to American Heart Association development standards and change management processes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of your role.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications / Licenses:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- UiPath Developer certification preferred.
- Workday Certification preferred.
Experience / Knowledge:
- 5+ years in Workday integrations and 3+ years in UiPath RPA development.
Skills:
- Proficient in Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, XSLT, REST/SOAP APIs, XML/JSON.
- Experienced with UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, and REFramework.
- Knowledge of SFTP setup, PGP encryption, and data mapping.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts relevant to automation (e.g., classification, document understanding, generative AI).
- Understanding of UiPath & Workday Cloud migration.
- Strong analytical thinking and collaborative skills, with the ability to translate functional requirements.
Compensation & Benefits
The expected pay range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000. Compensation is based on experience, and geographic differentials may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to adjust pay outside of the posted range.
