Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will perform all general MA duties (room patients, record vital signs, enter/update medications, verify allergies and list reaction, etc.). Our Medical Assistants work alongside our Providers and RN's to assist with procedures and keep accurate records in EHR.
This position will work at our Downtown Office 3 days per week and at our Valley Express Office 2 days per week. NWOS is closed all weekends and major holidays. No night shifts or on-call. Essential functions include educating pre/post-operative patients per Provider's instructions, drawing and preparing injections, assisting all Providers with procedures, opening and prepping exam rooms, completing medical history and updating surgical information accurately, prepping charts for surgery, performing sterile dressing changes, refilling medications per provider protocols, and ordering tests.
Qualifications: Medical Assistant Certification required, Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
