Position: 5G System Developer
Location: Warren, MI
Duration: Full Time/Direct Hire
Job Description:
Implement uplink and downlink outage detection algorithms on vehicle cellular communication modules
Design and develop advanced 5G link diagnostics mechanisms using inputs across multiple layers of the 5G communication stack
Responsibilities:
Detect 5G link issues accurately
Classify root causes across the end-to-end communication chain
Identify and utilize low-level cellular metrics by modifying cellular module source code
Produce clear diagnostic reports explaining issue causes
Required Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in C++ and Python
Deep understanding of:
5G cellular architecture
TCP/IP networking
Cross-layer network diagnostics
Experience working with:
Cellular communication modules (e.g., Qualcomm platforms 525M)
Linux-based (Yocto) embedded environments
Ability to analyze and modify low-level source code
Knowledge of Wi-Fi systems and device connectivity behavior
