About the Role
The Benefits Administrator I supports the employee benefits team by managing essential administrative tasks and ensuring accurate, timely handling of benefits-related data. This role plays a key part in organizing reporting files, assisting analysts with ongoing and ad-hoc projects, and maintaining a smooth flow of information across carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work, excels in organizing information, and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
What You'll Do
Gather, track, and maintain financial reports and supporting documents from various benefit carriers and vendors.
Provide day-to-day assistance to Benefits Analysts, including data organization, file setup, and project support.
Prepare and structure digital files for new plan years as well as prospective client opportunities.
Contribute to team efficiency by completing administrative tasks and special assignments as needed.
What You Bring
Education
A combination of education and relevant experience may also be considered.
Bachelor's degree, required; in fields such as business, finance, accounting, or economics is preferred.
Experience & Skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and functions.
Experience creating or manipulating pivot tables is a plus.
Analytical or data-handling experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and the ability to remain organized with large volumes of information.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and contribute positively in both independent and team settings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (with emphasis on Excel).
