We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Programming Acquisition for the NBA App and NBA TV to lead the strategy, development, and acquisition of projects that align with our vision and brand voice for the NBA’s content platforms. This role involves expanding the platforms’ audience base by fostering relationships with agents, producers, teams and talent in the creative community. This role will work closely with the Production and NBA App teams to analyze pitches and submissions and represent the NBA in talent and casting approvals.
The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for NBA basketball, a keen understanding of the media landscape, and a strong ability to create engaging, high-quality programming that resonates with viewers. The ideal candidate will maintain alertness to potential programming acquisitions and ideas and provide leadership and creative direction throughout the programming process. This role requires a dynamic professional with advanced knowledge of real-time sports productions, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
