Customer Service Representative - Community Ed Purpose Statement The job of Customer Service Representative is done for the purpose/s of performing various financial activities that require accurately processing, recording and/or updating fiscal information in accordance with established financial practices.
Essential Functions - Informs personnel and vendors regarding a variety of procedures and program requirements (e.g. Special Education policies, etc.) For the purpose of providing necessary information for completing transactions, taking action and/or complying with established fiscal guidelines.
- Maintains a variety of fiscal information, files and for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
- Performs record keeping and general clerical tasks (e.g. copying, faxing, mailing, etc.) For the purpose of supporting departmental operations.
- Maintains DES records for students.
- Reconciles account balances as assigned and corrects found errors for the purpose of maintaining accurate balances and complying with district accounting practices.
- Responds to inquiries (e.g., parents, teachers, staff, etc.) For the purpose of providing requested information and/or referring to appropriate resources.
- Responsible for online approvals for all programs, responds to general emails and phone calls for Community Education.
Other Functions - Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
Minimum Qualifications Mental Requirements Learning Development- Level C Sufficient to read and write technical instruction, understand standardized methods, operate specialized and varied equipment, perform standard mathematical applications. Learning development involves the equivalent of some technical or vocational training beyond high school, often resulting in a certification.
Problem Solving - Level 1 Work situations are routine and regularly recurring, requiring attention and concentration, but limited discretion, consideration, and planning to adequately respond and carry out work activities.
Physical Requirements Physical Skill - Level A Basic level of learned physical skill is required. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.
Physical Effort - Level 1 Minimal physical exertion is required. Most job time is spent sitting with occasional walking. Occasional lifting, guiding, and carrying of lightweight materials or equipment.

Experience, Education, and Certifications Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Certifications/Clearances: Must possess a valid Arizona DPS Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card while employed. Valid Driver’s License & Evidence of Insurability. CPR/ First Aid Certificate
