Role and Responsibilities

Performs final assembly, finishing and/or testing of GPR product in the Assembly & Test Department at Daniel Road location as assigned.

Key duties/responsibilities of Assembly & Test Technician, including, but not limited to:

  • Prioritizing of incoming work in order to maintain production delivery schedule
  • Perform final cleaning operations on finished product, as assigned, per GPR standards/procedures
  • Perform final assembly operations, as assigned, per issued traveler requirements and customer engineering documentation.
  • Perform final testing on finished product, as assigned, per GPR standards/procedures and customer engineering documentation.
  • Inspects work in progress to verify compliance with customer and company standards. Must identify nonconformances witnessed on product processed and report the same to the Assembly & Test Manager for disposition.
  • Verify all assembly, finishing and test requirements have been completed prior to product sign-off.
  • Maintain test records of leak testing and hydrostatic testing
  • Maintain effective implementation of quality management system procedures and work instructions applicable to the Assembly & Test Department, as defined by GPR QMS
  • Work together with engineering, production and quality management to ensure product meets customer and GPR quality expectations
  • Keep accurate time and process records via ERP system.
  • Demonstrate practical knowledge of Good Machining Practices (GMP)
  • Be respectful and a team player with co-workers.
  • Maintain and provide support to all 5-S program initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance to workplace policies according to safety objectives and procedures.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Minimum Education:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent GED

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in an assembly & test environment.
  • Must be able to interpret customer engineering specifications and/or drawings to determine product and quality requirements.
  • Should have strong documentation skills.
  • Excellent organizer with ability to read, write and speak fluent English
  • Requires the ability to skillfully plan and organize tasks.

Language Skills

Ability to understand and speak English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and basic trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
