Responsibilities Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center – Opening in 5!
When open in early 5, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital will include beds (with the ability to expand to beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a -car garage and a helipad for emergency transport.
We are seeking a (Full-Time)
Our ideal candidate will work under the direction of the under the direction of the Imaging Lead or Manager, the Rad Technologist provides general diagnostic imaging services. Ability to demonstrate radiation protection/safety for patients, staff and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines is of vital importance. Maintaining equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition is expected. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license.
- Minimum Two (2) years’ experience as a registered Radiology Technologist, acute care experience preferred.

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and percentages.
- Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title standards and guidelines.
- Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
- Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
- Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
