Job Summary
The City of Albuquerque is seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers to support a variety of municipal operations. This role involves manual labor tasks related to maintenance, construction, landscaping, and public infrastructure upkeep.
Perform routine maintenance of city streets, parks, buildings, and public spaces
Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment safely
Assist with loading/unloading materials and supplies
Clean and prepare job sites, including debris removal
Support skilled tradespeople as needed
Follow safety protocols and report hazards promptly
Respond to emergency work orders or weather-related tasks
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in general labor, construction, or maintenance a plus
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions
Valid driver’s license may be required
Strong work ethic and reliability
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if needed
Hourly wage: $14.25
Benefits may include health coverage, paid time off, and retirement contributions (for full-time roles)
Uniforms and safety gear provided
Available positions:
Multiple General laborers needed from 6 am - 2:30 pm or 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday. $14.25 MANY, MANY, OPENINGS!
