About the Position:
The Lewis & Clark speech/debate team is a large, nationally competitive team competing in speech events, British Parliamentary debate and Lincoln-Douglas debate.
Essential Functions:
Offer availability for coaching sessions (in person or virtual) as requested by the Director of Speech/Debate
Meet with students and provide constructive feedback designed to aid them in competition
Perform editorial duties on student scripts and arguments
Dependent on location, accompany speech/debate team members at tournaments
Judge at in person and virtual tournaments
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
Minimum 3-4 years of speech/debate competitive experience
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to adjudicate speech and debate competitions in a fair and educational manner
