The Day-to-Day

As a Senior Analyst- Model Builder, you will be responsible for designing and building customized Anaplan models tailored to meet the unique needs of SPS Executive Leadership, Finance teams and their Business Partners. Your primary focus will be on improving and constructing custom models while partnering both internally and externally to execute Anaplan best practices every day.

• Leadership of monthly cadence and critical path processes to ensure accuracy and viability of the planning model
• Build customized Anaplan models based on internal customer requirements
• Lead and collaborate with project team to build Anaplan models in line with best practices
• Frequently review existing models and business processes for relevance and opportunities for improvements
• Develop inbound and outbound data feeds to and from the Anaplan model
• Conduct tie-outs within Anaplan models and troubleshoot solutions
• Develop end-user reporting and planning dashboards within Anaplan
• Deploy the solution to end-users and provide overall support and training
• Build expertise through co-model-building training sessions
• Cultivate and maintain overall health of SPS Anaplan models

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; a Master's degree and 3 years of experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Building complex financial models in Excel; transitioning Excel-based models to Anaplan
• Proven track record of analytical problem-solving capabilities
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial statements, and management
• Ability to drive results independently and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Prior experience with the Anaplan platform highly preferred
• Experience using technology to develop multi-dimensional models preferred
• Background in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and a strong technical aptitude, including prior experience in digital transformation preferred
• Agile implementation methodology and/or technology implementation preferred
