Position Overview:UMBC is seeking a to perform technical maintenance work as a lead operating engineer on a shift in a power plant with central station refrigeration or air conditioning equipment. Operates and maintains high-temperature hot water boilers (50+ million BTU) and a 2,000-ton chiller.
This is an essential position assigned to the night shift, with standard hours of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday - Friday.

UMBC offers competitive compensation. This role starts at $76,000 and has 14 days of vacation as well as winter break, spring break, and personal days for regular full time roles. Tuition remission is also available.

Required Minimum Qualifications:This is an essential position assigned to the night shift, with standard hours of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday - Friday. Candidates must be available to work during these hours, and occasional weekend or holiday coverage may be required depending on operational needs.
