Type : Full Time

The Web Developer role is part of the Enterprise Software and Data Solutions team responsible for all custom developed applications.This also includes enhancements and upgrades to our application portfolio.The ESDS team works closely with other IT teams to develop solutions for both customers and Associates.We write our server side code in C# and our client side code in JavaScript.For our web development efforts, we create new applications using AngularJS, ASP.NET MVC and WebAPI.

Responsibilities

This Web Developer will part of our Customer Solutions team working on all Customer facing websites and applications.They will be responsible for collaborating with other developers, Customers and Associates within FSA to design and build tools for our Customers.The following is a list of Core Job Skills that prospective Web Developer Candidates should possess :

  • .NET Framework
  • Strong understanding of ASP.NET (3.5+)
  • WCF, WebAPI and RESTful services

C#

  • Ability to understand and write object oriented code
  • Ability to write LINQ and Lambda expressions and use Generics.
  • JavaScript & Frameworks
  • Ability to develop with Angular 1.2 -1.4 highly desired
  • Demonstrated use of jQuery and DOM manipulation for multiple browsers
  • Strong JavaScript skills
  • Familiarity with AJAX and strong understanding of asynchronous code using pure JavaScript and jQuery approaches
  • Familiarity with JavaScript build and automation tools such as Gulp or Grunt
  • Familiarity with JavaScript testing tools such as Jasmin or Mocha

    • ASP.NET :

  • Solid understanding of the ASP.NET Page Lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of ASP.NET MVC
  • Demonstrated understanding of the model, view, controller concept and separation of concerns
  • Ability to setup debugging environments to correct issues with code
  • Ability to see from an end users point of view

    • HTML / CSS :

  • Strong understanding of the HTML and HTML5.
  • Strong understanding of CSS
  • SQL Server
  • General understanding T-SQL
  • General understanding of OLTP Database design and various ways to access SQL data
  • Demonstrated knowledge / proficiency with Entity Framework 6.x

    • Environment skills :

  • Strong in IIS Administration skills
  • Team Foundation Server source control
  • Visual Studio 2015+
  • Familiar with Scrum processes and terminology such as Sprint, Product Backlog Item, and Task
  • Solid verbal / written communication skills and ability to document processes

    • PREFERRED SKILLS (Nice to have)

  • Xamarin
  • Javascript build and automation tools such as Gulp or Grunt
  • Javascript testing tools such as Jasmine or Mocha
  • Unit Testing
  • Telerik Sitefinity CMS 8.0+
  • SharePoint 2013 and WSS 2.0 / 3.0 API
  • Google Analytics

    • Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience with ASP.NET Forms and ASP.NET MVC
  • 5 years’ experience developing with C# and JavaScript
  • 5 years’ experience with WebAPI / WCF
  • 5 years’ experience with SQL Server
