Southeastern Louisiana University's Athletic Department invites applications for the position of Assistant Director for Sports Communications. The successful candidate will assist with sports radio broadcasting, disseminate media releases through social networks and our university athletic website, coordinate media requests, and collaborate with sports information personnel at the conference, regional, and national levels. Sport priority for this position includes Indoor Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, and Track and Field/Cross Country.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with a variety of clients, support staff, and external media.
The ability to accept feedback as part of the creative process.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Master’s degree from an accredited university. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations with continuing education or professional NCAA work experience.

Strong attention to detail and thorough understanding of branding/identity standards
Highly organized and multi-task orientated with strong attention to time management
Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
