Job Title: Microstation/Open Building Bentley Architect
Job Description
We are seeking Intermediate Architectural Designers to support a growing portfolio of Transportation / MTA projects. This role is production-focused and supports project delivery during a period of accelerated workload tied to newly awarded transit work. The Architectural Designer will be responsible for preparing architectural drawings and technical documents using MicroStation, working under the guidance of Project Managers and Team Leads. The position requires strong attention to detail, comfort working in structured document environments, and the ability to contribute immediately within an active project team.
Responsibilities
- Produce architectural drawings and technical documents for active MTA / transit projects.
- Execute production and drafting tasks under the direction of Project Managers and Team Leads.
- Support multiple project packages simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinate within ProjectWise and MTA-hosted document systems.
- Maintain accuracy, consistency, and adherence to transit authority standards.
- Assist with deadlines tied to near-term contract deliverables.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in MicroStation (2D) for architectural production.
- Strong architectural drafting and production experience, particularly in transit or infrastructure environments.
- Ability to work efficiently under the direction of Project Managers and Team Leads, producing coordinated drawing sets on tight deadlines.
- Familiarity working within large public-agency standards and workflows, including document control and compliance requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bentley OpenBuildings experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Bentley 3D environments.
- Experience supporting MTA, transit authority, or large public-agency projects.
- Strong coordination skills in multi-team project settings.
- Experience in handling multiple assignments and shifting priorities.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
Work Environment
The position offers a hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. The New York City office is located at 306 West 37th Street, 9th Floor. Work is performed in MTA- and Transit-hosted environments, including real-time
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
