Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
GDMS is hiring engineers with the proficiency required to manage multiple cloud architectures ensuring the stability and security of connectivity across various cloud environments.
Expected Skills and Qualifications
Cloud Platforms: Proficiency with major cloud platforms such as AWS, GovCloud, and Secret cloud environments.Networking: Strong understanding of networking principles, devices, protocols, and services (, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, load balancing).Cloud Networking Services: Experience with cloud networking services such as VPC, Direct Connect, Virtual Networks, etc.Security: Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.Multi-Cloud Management: Experience managing multiple cloud architectures and ensuring seamless connectivity across different environments.Automation: Familiarity with automation tools and practices (, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) for network management.Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Skills in monitoring network performance and troubleshooting connectivity issues.Firewall and Security Groups: Experience configuring and managing firewalls, security groups, and other network security measures.Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for network automation.Compliance: Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to cloud networking.Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with IT and development teams.Planned Duties and Tasks
Manage and configure cloud networking services (, VPC, Direct Connect, etc.).Ensure seamless connectivity across multiple cloud environments.Implement and maintain cloud security best practices.Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.Automate network management tasks using scripting languages.Configure and manage firewalls and security groups.Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure network reliability.Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements.Optimize network performance for high availability and low latency.Provide technical support and guidance on cloud networking issues.Target salary range: USD $123, - USD $129,;This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
