ResponsibilitiesValley Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Financial Counselor!
The Financial Counselor i s responsible for the review of admissions from the previous day(s) to verify the accuracy of the insurance information
obtained and entered by the Intake or assigned department. Accounts are set based on daily work load, split accounts by the number of employees.

Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Managed care, Medicare and other government benefits and ability to determine deductible and coinsurance.
Must also have a minimum of 6 month experience in finances and collecting patients financial liability up front, admission processes and collections procedures, and a working knowledge of managed care; interpretation of insurance coverage plans, co-payments and deductible schedules and payment plans; and a working knowledge of computers and business software programs (Excel) preferred.
Hospital is a -bed psychiatric hospital located in Phoenix, Arizona. Valley Hospital provides patient-centered care delivered by compassionate staff trained in the mental health and chemical dependency fields. Valley features individual units for adults and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs. We offer specialty programs including crisis stabilization, rehabilitation support in maintaining sobriety, and a women’s program to promote hope and healing.
